We utilize different manual techniques such as massage, mobilization with movement, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilizations, and myofascial trigger point therapy. We like to start our treatments with manual therapy due to our belief in improving soft tissue pliability and joint motion in order to increase motion and flexibility. Myofascial trigger point therapy is the study of the trigger point map of the body. It studies referral patterns from active trigger points which are taut bands in the muscles. Releasing trigger points allows the muscle to work better and decreases bodily pains and aches.
It is the sudden onset of spinning sensation that’s usually triggered by quick movement of your head. It can be onset after an ear infection, allergies or a cold. Sometimes vertigo can also be due to a medication side effect, faulty posture, and neck problems.
The most common type of vertigo is BPPV which can easily be assessed and treated with Physical Therapy. Vertigo assessment includes taking down your past medical history to determine contributing factors, eye exam to assess gaze stabilization and coordination, inner ear and neck assessment followed by balance assessment. Most people report a significant improvement in their symptoms after 2-3 visits.
Our therapists specialize in treating, diagnosing and preventing spinal issues as well as other musculoskeletal problems throughout the body in patients of all ages. We work to analyze movement and test muscle strength, flexibility and joint mechanics in efforts to alleviate your pain and symptoms. We then work to provide a personalized treatment plan to help reduce your pain, improve function, and reduce the likelihood that your back or neck pain will return in the future.
Some of our interventions include:

Headaches
If you experience frequent headaches, the physical therapists at Get Well Physical Therapy can help you figure out the cause and how to treat them. Many people who suffer from headaches often experience concurrent neck pain, muscle tension, joint stiffness, and/or discomfort concurrently with the onset of symptoms. Muscles in the cervical region can become tense and tight from things such as overuse, static postural loading (like sitting at a computer), or traumatic events. These tense and tight muscles can cause referred pain from the cervical region to the head and might be the cause of your headaches.

It is a form of temporary facial paralysis or weakness on one side of the face due to dysfunction of cranial nerve VII (facial nerve). Symptoms of Bell’s palsy can vary from person to person and range in severity from mild weakness to total paralysis. The most common symptom is sudden weakness of one side of the face. Other symptoms may include drooping of the mouth, drooling, inability to close eye (causing dryness of the eye), and excessive tearing in one eye. Individuals may also have facial pain or abnormal sensation, altered taste, and intolerance to loud noise.
